Join me in Belize for a personally hosted, small-group fly-fishing adventure to Blue Horizon Lodge, a classic coastal lodge perfectly positioned for anglers who want variety, authenticity, and access to some of the most diverse fisheries in Central America.

This August trip is built around opportunity and flexibility. Depending on conditions and your interests, we’ll fish expansive saltwater flats for bonefish and permit, target tarpon along coastal edges and channels, and explore mangroves, lagoons, and nearby rivers for snook and other species. Belize is unique in its ability to offer true multi-species fishing within a short distance, and Blue Horizon’s location allows us to take full advantage of that diversity.

Fishing days are guided by experienced local Belizean guides who know these waters intimately. Whether you’re stalking tailing fish on the flats, casting to laid-up tarpon, or working structure along mangrove shorelines, this trip offers both exciting fishing and the chance to sharpen your skills across a wide range of saltwater scenarios.

As with all of my hosted adventures, I will personally be on site throughout the week. My role is to ensure every detail is handled, from travel coordination and daily logistics to on-the-water support, strategy discussions, and instruction when needed. This trip is intentionally kept small to foster a relaxed pace, personalized attention, and a strong sense of camaraderie among the group.

Evenings at the lodge are an important part of the experience. Expect comfortable accommodations, hearty local meals, and time to unwind, review the day’s fishing, and plan for what’s ahead. Belize’s easygoing atmosphere, warm culture, and outstanding fisheries make it an ideal destination for anglers looking for both adventure and enjoyment.

This hosted trip is well-suited for anglers new to tropical fly fishing as well as seasoned saltwater fishermen looking to experience the full spectrum of what Belize has to offer.

• Ground transfers between airstrip and marina (Wednesday & Saturday Only)

Does Not Include: 

• International flight, In-country commuter flights or ground transfers from/to Belize City international airport
• Transfer to/from the island on non-transfer days (transfer days: Wednesday & Saturday)
