The Mountains — Estancia Chochoy Millán Our adventure begins among the breathtaking mountains of northern Patagonia at Estancia Chochoy Millán, where clear rivers, secluded spring creeks, alpine lakes, and freestone streams wind through the spectacular Cordillera del Viento. With exclusive access to more than 15 kilometers of private water, anglers pursue wild brown and rainbow trout in an intimate setting, with only two anglers fishing with each guide. Each day can bring something completely different, from quietly stalking trout on a spring creek to casting streamers across a mountain lake surrounded by some of Argentina's most dramatic scenery. But fishing is only part of what makes this destination special. Guests who want to experience another side of Argentina's sporting tradition can choose from optional quail hunting and wild boar hunting, creating the opportunity to turn a day, or several days, into a classic Cast & Blast adventure. From the Mountains to the Jungle After our time in Patagonia, the landscape, and the adventure, changes completely. We travel north to the legendary Paraná River, trading cool mountain streams and wide-open valleys for a subtropical world of jungle-lined channels, flooded timber, hidden lagoons, islands, and immense stretches of wild river. Here, we board the Golden Dorado River Cruiser for five nights and four full days of exploration in pursuit of one of the world's most exciting freshwater gamefish. Unlike a traditional lodge, the Cruiser moves through the vast Paraná River system, allowing us to explore different areas and position anglers near productive water. Each morning, you'll step from the floating lodge into a skiff and enter a maze of remote channels and backwaters in search of Golden Dorado. These magnificent predators are everything a fly angler could ask for, aggressive, powerful, unpredictable, and spectacular. They crush streamers on the retrieve, attack surface flies with explosive strikes, and often launch themselves completely from the water once hooked. It is a dramatic contrast to the precision and patience of Patagonia trout fishing, and that contrast is exactly what makes this journey so special. One Destination.
